Transfer Students include anyone with previous Acupuncture and TCM training, or Western medicine training such as a Medical Doctor, Nurse, Registered Massage Therapist, Physiotherapist etc.

Please note the 1-year certificate program is designed for Regulated Health Practitioners interested in practicing Acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to their primary method of treatment; this includes members of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, College of Chiropractors of Ontario, College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, College of Nurses of Ontario, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

If you are not a Regulated Health Practitioner, the certificate will be a general interest program.

The Canadian Acupuncture & Moxibustion Diploma Program qualifies graduates to write the Pan-Canadian regulatory examinations.

The USA Acupuncture & Moxibustion Diploma Program is recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, NCCAOM. The NCCAOM offers credentials to our graduates and the NCCAOM exam is used in 47 states (all except New York, California and Illinois).

Please note that students receiving OSAP funding are required to maintain a full course load for the duration of their program and must complete their program in the designated time for full-time studies.

Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine defines a "Mature Student" as a student who has not previously completed a high school diploma, a GED or a post-secondary program (or their equivalents). Mature students are required to complete an Eight Branches "Mature Student Test" and/or "Canadian Adult Achievement Test" and/or equivalent.

Two references such as past teachers, professionals or co-workers must provide a letter that discusses your commitment to becoming a TCM health care provider and your capacity to excel in your education at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine. Please upload letters below or email to admissions@eightbranches.ca.
